Dolmen des Puades, St. Cezaire-sur-Siagne, Alpes Maritimes


This is the first dolmen to be discovered in the Provence, by J.R. Bourguignat in 1866. It is also considered one of the most beautiful of this area.

The chamber is oriented N-S, and measures 2.50 x 1.50 m. The passage is 2.75 m. long and 1 m. wide.

The remains of a male, aged 30-35 years and believed to hail from Liguria, were found buried here, together with several bronze bracelets and food offerings.
